Design-Build Engineers & Contractors (DBE&C) is a minority firm certified with various local cities, counties and state agencies. We are a certified DBE firm with pre-qualification in FDOT work groups 3.1, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 5.1, 5.4, 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 offering roadway, structural engineering and inspection services.

 

DBE&C is a privately owned company organized into two divisions; Engineering and Construction.  Our client base includes private industry, local government, federal and state agencies.

 

DBE&C’s primary goal is to become Florida’s top Minority-owned Engineering and Construction company delivering high quality engineering and construction projects to all our clients.

 

We encourage and support continuing education and professional development training to ensure and maintain staff competency and skills enhancement.  We believe this is crucial to the development and expansion of the company.

DBE&C's Management

Mr. Michael Thompson has nineteen years of structural engineering experience in the design of bridge structures.  His work includes bridge design, plans preparation, specifications, economic analysis and reports.  Mr. Thompson heads up the firm’s Structural Engineering Division and has actively worked on the following bridge projects:

·         OIA South Access Road Bridge over Boggy Creek – Orange County, Florida.

·         Good Homes Road over SR 408 – Orange County, Florida.

·         S.R. 414 Maitland Extension over CR 437A – Orange County, Florida.

Mr. Miles has ten years construction and inspection experience.  His work includes building construction, bridge construction, inspections, estimating, planning, scheduling, resource management and finances. Mr. Miles presently heads up the firm’s Construction Department and has actively worked on the following construction projects.

·         Broadway Bridge over Intercoastal River, Daytona Beach, Florida.

·         SR 520 Bridge Replacement, Cocoa Beach, Florida.

·         US 1 Spruce Creek / Rose Bay Low Level Bridge Replacement, Bunnell, Florida.

Mr. Bao Dang has ten years of Roadway engineering experience.  His design experience includes various types of roadway projects including the preparation of plans for geometric design, roadway inspection, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, traffic control plans, lighting plans, and signalization plans, all within Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Broward County and Palm Beach County design standards and specifications.  His project management experience includes managing the design and construction of a variety of projects in addition to serving as the resident engineer on roadway construction projects.

 

Mr. Dang heads up the firm’s Roadway Engineering Division and has actively worked on the following roadway projects:
